GlennF's Reef Collection.

Dear fellow reefers,
My name is Glenn Fong and i am a passionate reefer.

I met Mark Flato at Coral and Fishstore (CFS) in breda and we got into a good conversation with each other.

He mentioned nanoriffe.de, so i decided to start a tank(s) thread.

This is my lookthrough reeftank viewed from the left side.

Size: 250x80x70cm wh=60cm
Total volume including connected tanks working on one sump is about 1425 liters.

Please excuse me writing in English, because my german writing is non existing and would be just senseless garbage.
Google translate would make more sense out of it.

Hi & Welcome Glenn,

you've got a beatiful tank there - very impressive. I think everyone here is interested in some more pictures of it What kind of technical equipment are you running (especially what kind of lighting)?

Have a great day

Morning Glenn,

I am delighted that you found us here.

Will tell the users a bit about your person.

Thanks m8,

My technics is mostly DIY and very basic.
My sump is not sexy, won't win any beauty award, is quite emtpy, just basic and functional.

- Skimmer running on 4 wooden airstones
- 18 watt UV unit against itch.
- 2x300 watt heaters
- RD 6500 mainpump servicing 3 tanks.
- 6 channel dosing pumps with my own designed supplements.
- Nano ATO device, working on a floatswitch.

That' all !

I still have a Iks computer for ph measurement and to turn on/of the lights.
The iks is just antique, so i don't bother optimizing/expanding the features anymore.

Morning Glenn,

Thank you for the insights about your tanks.

Stupendous, would have now assumed with more High End Equitment.
But that's all very simple, but the results are even more striking.

Since I would have to visit You actually times at home and times nice photo and videos make. Your tanks are a feast for the eyes

Best Regards Mark

Thanks again Mark,

Most reefers assumes spending large amount of money warrants good results.

But for me reefing is about optimizing with minimal effort. For that you need to understand the dynamic of your reeftank

Buying the most expensive gadget don't mean your reeftank will flourish by itself.

It's just like fitting the best engine on a random chassis, it may not work so well. A car put togheter with a combination of well selected (average) parts may outperform that.

You are welcome in to visit me if you like.

As mark stated in the next post
I am not realy looking for expansion, but they also say "never say never"

CFS in breda is a great LFS and worth visiting for reef enthousiast.
They have a large life stock and also supply my productline.

Another picture of my butterflyreef

Hi Glenn,

awesome tanks. :MALL_~12:

As I'm relatively new to the reefer Scene and my foreposter would also be interested, would you mind giving us a short presentation of the DSR System?

Please excuse if I overlooked a presentation here in the Forum... (noob I am...)

Thanks in advance :)
